Here is exactly what happens between the truck backing in and you parking on it — including the three steps most installers skip.
Move-out & masking
You clear what you can; we move the rest and shift it back at the end. Walls, door tracks, water heaters and the threshold all get masked before a single tool starts.
Diamond grinding to profile
Multi-head planetary grinders with diamond tooling open the concrete to a CSP-2 profile. Everything runs through HEPA vacuums, so there is no cloud rolling into the kitchen. We never acid etch.
Crack, joint & spall repair
Every crack gets chased open and filled with a structural polyurea that flexes with the slab and takes coating. Control joints are honored, not smeared over — that is why they do not telegraph back through in year two.
Moisture check & primer
Slabs that read high get a moisture-mitigating primer before anything pigmented goes down. It is the difference between a floor that lasts and a floor that bubbles next August.
Pigmented base coat
A 100% solids polyurea base is rolled and back-rolled wall to wall, including a hand-cut border at every edge and up the toe-kick if you want a cove.
Full-flake broadcast
Your flake blend is thrown to refusal — meaning the floor will not take another chip. Partial broadcast is cheaper and it is why budget floors look blotchy under a work light.
Scrape, vacuum & reclaim
Once the base kicks, loose flake is scraped flat and vacuumed up. This is the slow, unglamorous hour that decides whether the floor feels smooth or like sandpaper.
Two clear polyaspartic top coats
Two clear coats lock the flake in and take the system to 20–24 mils. Anti-slip aggregate goes into the final coat if you asked for it.
Reset, walk-through & warranty
We put your shelving and benches back, walk the floor with you under a light, and hand over the written warranty. Foot traffic that evening, vehicles the next day.
