Why polyaspartic and not epoxy
Epoxy was the standard for thirty years because it was the only thing available. Polyaspartic is a polyurea chemistry that cures faster, flexes further and holds its color under UV — which matters more in Texas than almost anywhere else, because your garage door opens onto afternoon sun every single day.
The practical difference is time and durability. An epoxy floor needs five to seven days before you can put a vehicle on it, and it is the system most likely to lift in sheets when a hot tire cools against it. Ours goes down in one day and takes vehicles the next.
What is actually in the system
A pigmented polyurea base coat, a full broadcast of your chosen flake blend thrown to refusal, then two clear polyaspartic top coats. Total build is 20 to 24 mils — roughly five times the thickness of a big-box roll-on kit.
Who should pick something else
If the garage is a workshop where you will be dragging steel and dropping tools, ask us about the quartz broadcast system instead. It costs more and it will take that abuse better. We would rather tell you now than warranty it later.
